White Domain

I recently received an email from Terry White informing me that Bill White and his son Joe have a bluegrass group called Bill White and White Pine. I did a quick check of the database and found out that Bill and I are third cousins.

It seems there's a music gene in the White DNA because numerous members of the family have been and currently are involved in music.

My father, Ed, played for almost 30 years in the Mississippi River Boys, a country dance band that entertained throughout Eastern Ontario.

My uncle Jim played for awhile with the MRB and then eventually started his own dance band that also played throughout Eastern Ontario and spent many years entertaining at the Perth Legion.

My brother Doug and I played in the Mississippi River Boys for many years.

Currently, I'm lead vocalist and guitarist with Grateful We're Not Dead.

I'd be interested in hearing of other members of the White family who also play in musical groups or simply entertain friends and relatives. It would be nice to start adding links to websites of musical Whites.
